Located in the Pacific Islands, Kauai
(North West Coast on high tide line) this shelter is a still frame of nature. This barreling wave provides a shelter
on the beach from inside the ocean. Giving an exhilarating gathering experience by becoming part
of the ocean without even getting wet. The form of the structure intensifies the sounds of the ocean, as if standing
inside of a seashell. The Wave is barreling in the same direction as the ocean providing a shield from the incoming
tide. But leaving you with the visual force of mother nature as it surrounds you. At high
tide, The Wave puts viewers in the front lines of the oceans rising water, as it slowly creeps up the front and sides with
every crashing wave.
